Albert County is in New Brunswick Canada, located on the south shore of the province. Businesses in the county have come together to create the Albert County Tourism Association, or ACTA.
Eastwood Design and Tower Software Inc. partnered to bring ACTA a website that would promote Albert County businesses and attractions.
The home page features a random business picked from the database of current businesses. The main header shows the effect of the tides in a flash display of high and low tides. There is also a keyword search option at the top of the pages to search for a service or attraction.
The business directory is represented with four different pages where the viewer can brouse by category, alphabetically, by region or by keyword.
The site also features learning articles, a link to the government tide tables, a weather link, guestbook, an events page and a contact us page.
There is a members area where ACTA members can log in and update their information and submit images for inclusion with their information. Also, ACTA members can enter upcoming events such as festivals, parades and local gatherings.
The website uses a MS Access database to store all the information for each member. The website uses ASP technology to fill the site templates with the requested information.
